Good to get spot prices, would be useful if it had charting capabilities or alarms for high / low prices, as us, Kitco or French America apps are a better choice ...

APMEX is modern precious metals dealer with strong customer based operations. It is not surprising they have a straightfoward, usable app for coin and bullion buyers. The "Top 40" list is terrific. APMEX keeps their website fresh and I expect we will see this app develop over time.

The Mexican gold coins are not covered. Do away with the Top 40 page and let the user create his own list of items he wishes to follow as is common with other apps by using the (+) sign.

Great for a quick check of pm values when Im out and about.

A great overall app that I can check current prices of gold silver platinum and padillium. I would have given it 5 stars if it had a tab devoted to the 24 hour charts and historical charts available on the APMEX website. I also have to keep pressing a refresh button and a option should be available to have it refresh automatically after a certian timeframe that I can choose from. The top 40, although I do see its use to someone to see what is high priced and selling...it really has no use for someone who would be strictly buying and selling in one market. I do like being able to click on the information tab and having a direct link to your site thereby giving me a better chance to buy at the price I would like within a decent time frame. One user suggested being able to buy directly from the app...as someone in the know...the resrictions on the size of an app would make this virtually impossible. If such a feat were undertaken it would make the app clunky and not so cleanly executed. I gave this app 4 stars because all in all it dose what its supposed to do but there is always room for improvement

Nice app but the "Top 40" quotes do not always watch the prices on the Apmex website.

Good app. Bad Company. I bought $500 worth of gold from them which got lost by the USPS. When I tried to get a refund or replacement. I was stonewalled. No response. By anyone. Not even supervisor. So I filed a claim with my credit card company which gave me my money back in 1 day and is now persuing APMEX. I also reported them to the BBB. Dont be fooled by their good record. Maybe that was in the past.

Having a silver to gold ratio would be great.

Over all this is a great app for a quick spot check.
